LICADD offers comprehensive addiction education, assessment for adolescents and adults, including referral services, intervention services, professional seminars and an Employee Assistance Program. Counselors work with individuals and their families to find the best resources to suit their needs. In some cases that may be medical detoxification, referral to a crisis center, transfer to a halfway house, in-patient or out-patient rehabilitation and/or self-help groups.
Since its non-profit incorporation in 1956, LICADD has conducted thousands of alcohol/drug education presentations in schools and community groups, and has directly assisted more than 80,000 individuals and/or families in finding effective treatment or recovery programs for alcoholism and other drug problems. LICADD’s programs and services are completely funded by voluntary contributions. These generous donations ensure that LICADD’s services remain available to all in need.
