Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
If your employer is part of LICADD’s Employee Assistance Program, we’re ready to help you!
Your employer cares about you and has contracted with LICADD’s Open Arms EAP to support both you and your family members during difficult times. Open Arms EAP provides confidential evaluation, solution-focused counseling, screened referrals and follow-up services for a broad spectrum of personal concerns.
Here’s a short list of issues we can help you and your family members with:
- Drug and Alcohol Abuse
- Anxiety and Stress Management
- Grief and Loss
- Domestic Violence
- Marital/Relationship Difficulties
- Eating Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Sexual Addiction, Gambling Addiction and Internet Addictions
Each and every call is 100% confidential and we will not communicate with your employer about you unless you ask us to do so. Once you contact LICADD’s EAP either on your own or at the request of your employer, one of our professional counselors will talk with you about your situation, help you come up with a game plan and if necessary, link you with top-quality local resources. Many problems can be resolved in just a few sessions and your first three visits to LICADD have been fully paid for by your employer. If further counseling or other treatment is necessary, we’ll link you directly to one of the screened professionals or facilities in our extensive network of providers, making sure that their rates are affordable to you and that they accept your health insurance. Once a referral has been made, LICADD’s EAP representative will remain in touch with you to make that your needs are being met.
Since its beginning in 1956, the Council has helped over 80,000 individuals and their families deal with alcoholism, drug dependence and a wide variety of other problems. Staffed by employees skilled in social work, addiction, counseling, nursing and other disciplines, LICADD provides EAP services in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Manhattan and across the entire eastern seaboard.
